Now that we’re in the latter part of the year I thought it would be a nice idea to do a little round up of some of my favourite trends seen so far in 2024. From scallop edges and gingham (which I’ve become a little obsessed with in my own home), to less obvious colour combinations such as burgundy and turquoise – who knew this pairing could look so fab? 2024 has been exciting for interiors.
Read on below to find out all about these gorgeous new trends and how to incorporate them into your own home with the help of an interior designer Lewes.

I’ve been loving squiggles this year. Choose from coral style wallpaper, headboards with a difference and scallop edged furniture for a stylish addition to your home. With fabrics, art, soft furnishings and furniture available in varying squiggle-style designs, you’ll be sure to find the perfect wiggly detail to add interest into your home whatever your budget.
Go wild with gingham

I am literally so obsessed with gingham right now and it’s such an easy trend to incorporate into your home. From a simple cushion update (there are loads around – I found some gorgeous affordable ones from John Lewis), to bedlinen perfect for adding a little interest to a bedroom and even bows to dress your front door (adding to my shopping basket now!) it’s simply my favourite pattern to play with at the moment.
Jewelled hues

A less obvious colour combination that I am seeing lots of now is the rich shade of burgundy being combined with a deep turquoise blue. DeVol kitchens have some wonderful examples of this daring combination. It might not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for an interior designer in Lewes and would like to combine these striking hues but need a little help, then get in touch today and I’ll be happy to work with you to help you create your dream home.
Bountiful bobbin

Seen across wooden furniture including armchairs, mirrors and even lampshade bases, the bobbin trend is a super fun one. Usually painted in a bold colour, this trend is sure to add a pop of fun and an eye-catching feature to your home.
