Hello and Happy New Year! I thought I’d kick January off with a bit of a look ahead at what 2025 has in store in the world of interior design. Florals look set to remain prominent in interiors, but with a little twist – read on to find out more! I’ll be taking a look at key colours for the year ahead, as well as a few other trends that are filling me with excitement! So, let’s begin…
The Statement Hallway
Hallways needn’t be a purely functional place to store shoes and coats, they can be so much more! A place to set the scene of your home and make an eye-catching statement from the moment someone walks into your property. In 2025 we’re seeing hallways move from a country style boot room to bold show-stopping spaces. From stunning stair runners to bold wall colours and eclectic art with mismatched frames, the hallway is certainly not a room to be overlooked.
Rosy Red
Hot for 2025 is red. Used in moderation this bold hue is providing us with all the cosy feels this year. Being a big fan of green, my recent love for red has surprised me a little. Whether used in cushions to add that warming feel to spaces, or added to tizz up some wooden furniture, red is making a come-back and I am so excited to use this gorgeous shade in some of my upcoming projects.
Florals.. on the ceiling!
Yes, yes, yes this has to be my favourite new trend for 2025.. We’ve used wallpaper on the walls, in bathrooms and in photo frames, but now it’s being widely used on ceilings. Often left untouched, the ceiling is a great place to use wallpaper, it’s less overbearing than adorning all four walls with it, and it can therefore be the perfect spot to add a little interest and cosy-in that snug or create an intimate dining space.
Alabaster

Calming hues are here to stay - there’s always a place for warm neutrals in my interior design in East Sussex due the cosy, homely ambience that they help to create. There’s a vast array to choose from and it’s an area I love, so if you need some help choosing off-whites for your home get in touch today.
The Rise In The Twin Room
How I love a twin room, there’s something about symmetry and the ability to use lots of patterns and textures that makes a twin room so appealing. It’s my favourite bedroom brief, so I am pleased to see this one still surging in popularity for 2025. They look beautiful and can create truly impactful schemes, but they’re also practical too – ideal of kids sharing to places for guests to rest, incorporating a twin room in your home will have guests queuing up to visit!
Internal Windows
I’ve noticed a rise in kitchen design East Sussex adding internal glass windows into their projects. This is one not for the messy homeowner, but one that loves organisation and wants to show off those neatly labelled Kilner jars, and their separate larders or utility rooms. A lovely way to create a sense of space and a journey through the home, internal windows can also add much needed light into rooms.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about my top interior design trends for 2025.
