Oh So Peachy

Pantone recently announced their colour of the year for 2024, Peach Fuzz. With a velvety soft tone, this vibrant yet delicate shade embraces spirit and enriches the mind body and soul.

“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.” Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director, Pantone Colour Institute.

A twist on the traditional, this calming hue brings in an element youthfulness into interiors which allows for a more playful scheme says interior designer Lewes Olivia Ruckley

Are you ready for a fizz, pop, bang? Here are a few ideas on how to incorporate this bubbly hue into your home..

Light it up

A simple and on-trend way to add this fashionable tone into your interior is to add some seriously joyful lampshades. Big in 2024 is wall lighting, from industrial style brushed brass designs, which are popping up in kitchens across the country, to chic cottagecore ruffles and fluted glass designs, it seems wall lights are an essential accessory in any home renovation. Simply choose your favourite peach shade and be bold by adding it to your interior whatever the décor. A clash of colours works best and adds a fun design element.

Crazy about wallpaper

Wallpaper is a great way to bring in this on-trend shade with its modern elegance. With many beautiful bold block prints available in peachy tones, these gorgeous on-trend wallpapers are available in a variety of prints to suit your personality. A few favourites below.

Small spaces

Another way to bring this calming shade into your home is simply to paint the walls! Perhaps this could be a little overbearing in a large space, but if you have a porch, hallway or downstairs WC that needs a little facelift then Peach Fuzz could be the answer. An easy update that can be done over a weekend, simply adorn the walls with this bright shade for an uplifting scheme that will get you looking forward to warmer days. For an even bolder approach combine with some dark blue panelling for a colour clash that will delight the eye, or for a softer scheme pair with rustic accessories such as a jute rug and some natural green foliage for a calming interior.
